One of our favorite events of the year, the Hot Rod Power Tour, is only a couple of weeks away, and as you can imagine we're pretty psyched to hit the road and bring you exclusive coverage like only The BLOCK can!
Last year's tour kicked off at GM's legendary Milford Proving Grounds and cruised through the awesome towns of Muskegon, Mich., Champaign, Ill., Madison, Ill., Miami, Okla., Stillwater, Okla., and finally wound things down in historic Arlington, Texas.
The 2013 Power Tour, expected to be over 2000 cars strong, will cover over 1,200 miles and begins where last year's left off in Arlington, Texas. From there the convoy will charge through Texarkana, Ark., Little Rock, Ark., Millington, Tenn., Hoover, Ala., Chattanooga, Tenn., and on to Concord, N.C., where the tour will hit zMAX@Charlotte Speedway for the final festivities!
Whether or not the tour is coming to a city near you, if there's one event you can make it out to this year – we highly encourage you to come out for at least one of the legs of the HRPT. If you haven't been before, trust us, you will never see an automotive gathering of this magnitude.
But, hey, if making the tour isn't an option, don't fret, not one bit – The BLOCK is going to have you completely covered with all the Muscle Cars, Hot Rods, and Rat Rods you can handle – and more!
Check out some of last year's awesomeness below, and be sure to chime in on the HRPT 2013 Forum thread to let us know if you'll be either "long-hauling" with us or making it to one of this year's stops!
